FC Luzern announces that nine players will leave the AWSL team after the end of the 2025/26 season. The players have made significant contributions to the club in recent years. The goalkeeper Laura Schneider, Nadja Furrer and Jil Beetschen, defenders Lynn Häring and Bettina Brülhart, midfielders Jamie Kenel, Juliana Müller and Gentiana Fetaj, and forward Serena Li Puma will leave the AWSL team. Lynn Häring, 26, has been particularly influential in recent years. She played for FC Luzern since 2014, made the transition from the club's youth team to the AWSL team, played 170 official matches and was part of the cup-winning team in 2021. Jamie Kenel, 23, and Juliana Müller, 22, also come from the club's youth team. Kenel made the transition from the U19 team to the AWSL team in 2019 and played 87 official matches for the club. Müller has been part of FC Luzern since 2020 and played 11 official matches for the AWSL team. Laura Schneider and Jil Beetschen will also be leaving the club, having gone through the club's youth team. Schneider played 78 official matches for the AWSL team and is retiring. Beetschen made the transition to the AWSL team in the summer of 2024. Nadja Furrer, 28, and Bettina Brülhart, 32, will also be retiring. Furrer played over 100 matches in the top league for GC and FC Luzern and will remain with the club as a goalkeeper coach in the youth team. Brülhart played over 200 matches in the AWSL for GC and FC Luzern and will take on a role as assistant coach with Team Innerschweiz. Serena Li Puma and Gentiana Fetaj will not be playing for FC Luzern in the upcoming season. Li Puma, 22, joined FC Luzern in 2023 but was repeatedly injured and played 23 official matches for the AWSL team. Fetaj, 23, joined FC Luzern in January 2026 and scored 6 goals and created 7 assists in 13 official matches in the second half of the season. The Kosovo national player has decided to seek a new challenge. Leiterin Frauenfussball Rahel Graf says: "It's a bigger change that will take place this summer. Among them are several players who have shaped our path over many years and will leave the club. We are very grateful for their commitment and connection to FC Luzern. At the same time, this change is not unexpected. We see it as an opportunity to form a young and hungry team and start the next development phase."
